Tips to prevent the FLU DHEC is offering the 2009 HI1N1 flu shot at our school on November 23. If you want your child to get the vaccine at school please fill out the Parental Consent form and return it to school by Thursday, November 19th. Please return the consent form even if you do not want your child to be vaccinated at school. Your child will receive an immunization card on the day he/she receives the vaccine. If your child is less than 10 years of age he/she will need a second shot at least 21 days after the first shot. DHEC will provide information about getting the second shot. If you consent for your child to be vaccinated at school, but your child is unwilling to be vaccinated at the school clinic, we will not vaccinate him/her. If you have any questions about the flu vaccine please call DHEC Flu Hotline at 1-800-277-4687.

Parent Access to Our Website
Flowertown Elementary is excited to offer enhanced parent access through our website. Once registered for an account and connected to your enrolled student(s), you will be able to view school and classroom information and announcements using a centralized, easy to navigate system.
Between October 1st and October 15th we will be distributing a guide for parents to access their student’s information. If, by October 15th, you have not received this information, please contact us directly at cframpton@dorchester2.k12.sc.us.
